One fed up girl reviews and shares her thoughts on books that she has read.
Twilight by Stephenie Meyer
This book is such a phenomenon it would be remiss of me 1) not to read it and 2) no to
review it. I bought and read this book because a good friend of mine said it was
excellent... with this statement I agree, however, it's not because it's a well-written
book. For one thing it's poorly edited, there are less mistakes in this book than the
others but they're there and they annoy me!
The strength of this book lies in the fact that an ordinary (and clumsy) teenage girl has
a fairytale (nightmare) romance with a vampire - this is the stuff fantasies are made of.
However, normally this would bore me. This book has the added advantage of making you
feel almost like a voyeur in the way that it's written and that's what draws you in, the
feeling that you're looking in on someone else's story, or perhaps, reading their diary.
This is a very fortunate thing for the book which doesn't have a strong plot and whose
main character is ultimately irritating.
Would recommend, I love it!
